Judy Ng is a Senior Vice President at Flushing Bank, Director of Asian Market Segments. Judy is responsible for developing and managing the Bank’s relationships with the Asian communities since 2018. She has been extending the Asian branches from five to eleven and growing the Asian business in Flushing Bank tremendously. Judy joined Flushing Bank in April 2014 as Vice President, Area Manager Asian Market. In 2016, Judy was promoted to Senior Vice President, Area Manager and until 2018 oversaw nine Flushing Bank branches in Queens, New York.
Her banking career began in December 1978 after graduating from Hong Kong Polytechnic and joining HSBC Hong Kong. She was an assistant branch manager at HSBC when she immigrated to New York with her husband and son in April 1989. As a new immigrant, Judy faced the dual challenge of finding a job and mastering a new language. However, she recognized early on that she had to strengthen her communication skills and cultivate her professional network (including with major community organizations and leaders) and client base.
Judy has extensive experience in the financial services industry in New York. Before her tenure at Flushing Bank, she had held a variety of positions at HSBC and Chase including First Vice-President of the Metro NY Personal Financial Services Learning & Development Team, Premier Segment Leader, and District Sales Leader for the Queens and Bronx Districts. She also served positions as an Administrative Officer and Financial Advisor. During her career, Judy has distinguished herself and received numerous recognition awards by consistently exceeding expectations of her supervisors and clients. She was honored as Community Partner of the Year by Queensborough Community College and Women of Wall Street by Schneps Media. Judy is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience to her customers, enhancing the business of the Bank and successfully developing and mentoring her team.
Judy is actively involved in community and charitable organizations including as a board member of Chinatown Business Improvement District (BID), Chinatown Partnership, The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival in New York, The Queensborough Community College Foundation, and Treasurer of Queens Chamber of Commerce Foundation. She is dedicated to helping new Asian immigrants assimilate into the United States, and is fluent in English and Chinese. Judy partnered with Chinatown Manpower Project to run a bilingual Financial Literacy & Retail Banking Training program in 2025.
