Dr. Marian Conway was the executive director for the NY Community Bank Foundation, working for the Foundation for 24 years. Marian is an adjunct professor at SUNY, Empire State University, and a volunteer newswire writer for Nonprofit Quarterly. She is a member of several nonprofit boards of directors, including Community Development Corp. of L.I, Cleary Foundation for the Deaf, L.I. Arts Alliance, the Energeia Partnership, St. Johnland Nursing Center, and Empire State University Foundation, where she is the Chair. Marian is also on the Lindenhurst Economic Development Committee and Lindenhurst’s NY Forward Grant Committee.  

Her doctorate is in Public Policy and Administration, with a specialty in Nonprofit Management. 

Marian is the recipient of several awards: 

• 2023 Town of Babylon Woman of Distinction, Kimberly Jean-Pierre NYS Congresswoman 

• 2017 Long Island Power Women in Business, Long Island Press 

• 2016 Health & Welfare Council of Long Island, Sandy Lenz and Jim Harnett Award for Community Service, for Superstorm Sandy recovery work 

• 2011 Gilbert Tilles Award, Association of Fundraising Professionals
